Meet Dr. Christopher Bomil
As a psychologist, it is important to not only help others through intervention in therapy but also to help clients understand themselves. This is what drives my passion to best understand an individual’s story through assessment. My approach to assessment is to be curious, compassionate, and thorough as I uncover the questions that you or your family have. Assessment can be a confusing process, and I aim to make that process as collaborative and supportive as possible. Though I have competence in answering many clinical questions you have, I have a particular interest and skill in neurodevelopmental disorders. This category includes attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, intellectual disorder (ID), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). My assessment training began as an interest while I was completing my doctoral education at William James College in Newton, MA. During my yearlong internship at Clifford Beers Clinic in Connecticut, I grew passionate about neurodevelopmental disorders and other clinical presentations that can impact people of all ages throughout their lifespan. I believe that through assessment, we can work together to look at not only strengths but also build upon areas that require additional support.
