Meet Dr. Pamela Gallant
Pamela Gallant, Psy.D., C.A.G.S. is a clinical psychologist, licensed in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. A co-founder of CPAS, her educational background is extensive. She earned a Master of Science and a Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University New England. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) and completed her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (C.A.G.S.) at the University of Massachusetts Boston in the field of School Psychology. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Council for the National Register of Health Services in Psychology, and she is credentialed with the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).
Helping others has been Dr. Gallant's personal and professional mission for as long as she can remember. Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others is captured by her decision to join the United States Army, where she served as a Military Police Officer in Frankfurt, Germany. This valuable experience offers her a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for military life, which informs and guides her work with veterans. Her work in the educational setting also allowed her to support students by using assessment as the vehicle for intervention and treatment planning. Her analysis and case conceptualizations offered special education teams, parents, and outside providers a basis for understanding. Her reports provided clarity and offered direction; recommendations outlined the interventions and necessary accommodations to support academic growth and social/emotional development.
Dr. Gallant has also worked in a variety of clinical settings: community mental health agencies, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and small-group behavioral health practices. Her training and clinical work is varied and extensive. She received training in neuropsychological evaluations at New Hampshire State Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric unit. She also received assessment training at Riverbend Community Mental Health, and she worked for several years at Genesis Behavioral Health. Her work at the state hospital and in community mental health settings provided her with the opportunity to assess individuals struggling with multiple areas of concern and/or weakness, including mood and personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, psychotic disorders, developmental disorders, executive functioning disorders, cognitive disorders, and deficits of memory. Dr. Gallant entered private practice more than a decade ago and enjoys working in this type of setting, serving her community, and staying true to her personal mission: to help others.
As the co-founder of CPAS, Dr. Gallant brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this small group practice. She offers neuropsychological and psychological evaluations primarily to adolescents and adults of all ages. Her assessments target neurological processing disorders, neurodevelopmental impairments, fitness-for-duty (e.g., military, police, and air traffic controllers), and mental health impairments for Social Security claims. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Gallant gives back to the field by offering supervision to post-doctoral psychologists and by giving her time in consultation with other licensed professionals.
Dr. Gallant brings passion and expertise to her assessment practice. She approaches her work with openness, considering the referral question, gathering data, and listening to her patient. Her batteries are thorough and identify the factors responsible for the reported symptoms. Her recommendations create positive change in the lives of those she serves. Dr. Gallant uses assessment to help others chart their course and find their way.
